Schools are the hub of many neighbourhoods, but our changing demographics are causing the Province to demand that school boards address the number and location of each of these critical facilities. If a school closes now - schools boards are not required to work with the City to address other beneficial needs. We need to create better relationships with school board officials to ensure that neighbour needs are met, when addressing and deciding on current and future use of school properties.
